Annual Fall Enrollment Report VIDEO
The Board received the Annual Fall Enrollment Report, detailing enrollment numbers and year-by-year trends. Enrollment increased by 1,251 students, or 1.8%, from Fall 2023.

DEI Updates VIDEO
Board of Regents staff delivered updates on the universities’ DEI efforts. The report detailed efforts to bring the Regents Enterprise in compliance with Senate File 2435 (2024) and Iowa Code 261J.
Welcome Regent Hensley
The November meeting was the first regularly scheduled in-person meeting for Regent Christine Hensley. Hensley was appointed by Governor Kim Reynolds in September to fill the unexpired term of Regent Mike Richards. She serves as Vice Chair of the Academic Affairs Committee and as a member of the Investment and Finance Committee.
Economic Development and Technology Transfer Reports VIDEO
The Board received the annual Economic Development and Technology Transfer reports, outlining the scope of Regent collaboration with business and industry and the positive impact the Regents institutions have on Iowa businesses. Jon Darsee, UI Chief Innovation Officer; David Spaulding, ISU VP for Economic Development and Industry Relations; and Randy Pilkington, UNI Director of Business and Community Services delivered the reports.

Academic Affairs Committee VIDEO
The Academic Affairs Committee approved a new MA in transformative arts program at UNI and a new UNI Department of Construction Management. The committee approved the termination of UI’s Ph.D. program in second language acquisition and suspension of admissions in its MS in Finance program. Additionally, the committee received professional development reports and requests and received annual accreditation reports.
Investment and Finance Committee VIDEO
The Investment and Finance Committee received the quarterly investment report from Marquette and approved the 2025 bond issuance schedule and two reimbursement resolutions. Additionally, the committee received the Comprehensive Fiscal Report, which compares budgets to actual expenditures.

Property and Facilities Committee VIDEO
The Property and Facilities Committee approved the UI purchase of the Old Capitol Mall in Iowa City and approved the UI Register of Capital Improvement Business Transactions, including two UI Health Care projects and a modernization of the UI Art Building. In addition, the committee approved the UNI Register of Capital Improvement Business Transactions, which included further remodeling of the Innovative Teaching and Technology Center and UNI-Dome renovations.

Free Speech and Student Affairs Committee VIDEO
The Free Speech and Student Affairs Committee received Clery Act Reports from campus law enforcement officials and received a presentation on UNI Recreation Services.
UI Health Care Committee VIDEO
The committee received the UIHC presentation from VP for Medical Affairs and Dean of the Carver College of Medicine Denise Jamieson, Associate VP of UI Health Care and UIHC CEO Bradley Haws, and Associate VP for Finance and UIHC CFO Mark Henrichs. The Committee also recommended authorization for UI Health Care to transfer up to $25 million to the UI Health System.
Faculty Presentation VIDEO
The Board received a presentation on providing practical and ethical exit experiences and care to graduating students from Dr. Nichole Zumbach Harken.
