Carolann Jensen

Carolann Jensen joined the Board of Regents staff as a state relations officer in August 2019, and was named chief operating officer in July 2025. She most recently worked for eight years at the Iowa Finance Authority, serving as Interim Executive Director, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Programs Officer during her tenure.  She also has served as a senior research analyst for the Iowa Senate, and a lecturer at both Iowa State University and Drake University. Jensen holds a bachelor’s degree from Iowa State with a double major in public service & administration in agriculture and international agriculture, and has a master’s of public administration from Drake.
