University of Iowa Presidential Search Updates

The University of Iowa Presidential Search Committee met March 26 to select semifinalists from a pool of 79 candidates. The committee advanced 12 candidates as semifinalists and will interview those individuals in virtual meetings April 1-3. The committee will select finalists from the pool of 12 semifinalists with the Board expecting to appoint a new president at its April 30 meeting.

Board of Regents President Mike Richards has asked John Keller, Dean of the UI Graduate College and co-chair of the search committee, to serve as Interim President, beginning May 17 until the next UI president begins his or her duties. Keller's appointment will be considered by the full Board at its April 14 meeting.
