Annual Fall Enrollment Report

At its November meeting, the Board of Regents will receive the Fall 2025 Enrollment Report. This year, total student enrollment at Iowa’s Regent universities increased by 1,378 students, or 2 percent from Fall 2024. Undergraduate enrollment also increased by 1,471 students. 

Iowa State University enrollment rose by 673 students year-over-year, while the University of Iowa increased its student population by 784 students. The University of Northern Iowa saw a decrease of 79 students. 

Iowa residents represent 58 percent of students enrolled at Iowa’s public universities, including 61 percent of undergraduate students. Students represent all 99 Iowa counties:
