Board of Regents Meeting Preview: June 2019 Meeting Preview

This fall, Iowa State will enroll its first undergraduate students in its new cyber security engineering major, a forward-thinking program that seeks to fill a major demand for cyber security professionals in the coming years.

At its June meeting, the Board will hear a presentation on the disability support services offered by Iowa’s public universities. The Board values policies and outreach efforts that enable all students, including those with disabilities, to seek and receive a quality education.

The Board of Regents will consider approval of tuition and mandatory fees for the 2019-20 academic year at its June meeting. Representing the first official step in a five-year “guardrails” tuition model, the June vote will commence a plan for predictable, transparent tuition at Iowa’s public universities that was years in the making.
