Statement from President Sherry Bates

On behalf of the Board of Regents, I want to congratulate Regent David Barker on his nomination to be Assistant Secretary of Postsecondary Education for the United States Department of Education. He will bring his tremendous knowledge, expertise and passion to that role. It’s great that a fellow Iowan has been selected for this position, and we wish him well.
