Board of Regents Selects Search Firm for UI President

February 16, 2015

(URBANDALE, Iowa) – The Board of Regents has selected Parker Executive Search of Atlanta, Georgia, as the search firm for the selection of the next president of the University of Iowa.

Parker’s role in the UI presidential search will be to define the goals of the search and develop the position specification and search timeline; identify and assess potential candidates; facilitate all candidate interviews; and negotiate and provide follow-up communications.

The Parker firm served the same role for the 2011 and 2012 presidential searches for Iowa State University and the University of Northern Iowa. "The Board was very pleased with the process and the results of our two previous presidential searches which were conducted by the Parker firm," said Board of Regents President Bruce Rastetter. "Parker has a proven understanding of the Board’s high expectations for a search that results in the finest presidential candidates for Iowa’s public universities."
