The Board of Regents, State of Iowa has selected AGB Search from Washington, D.C. as the firm to assist with the selection of the next president at Iowa State University.

“AGB has a track record of doing great work in assisting in hiring of university presidents,” said Dr. Robert Donley, Board of Regents Executive Director. “Naming a university president is one of the top responsibilities of the Board of Regents, and we feel confident that AGB will provide outstanding support in this critical process.”

Among the duties for AGB in the Iowa State search will be assisting in defining the goals of the search and developing the position specification and search timeline; identifying potential candidates and receiving nominations and applications for the position; communicating with prospective candidates and facilitating candidate interviews; and conducting background checks on applicants.

AGB will be paid $110,000, plus expenses, for its services assisting with the search.

The Board of Regents is a group of nine citizen volunteers who govern the state’s three public universities and two special K-12 schools – the Iowa School for the Deaf and the Iowa Braille and Sight Saving School – through policymaking, coordination and oversight.
