Board of Regents President Rastetter Thanks Legislature for Support

(COUNCIL BLUFFS) - On behalf of the Board of Regents, I wish to thank the Joint Senate and House Education Appropriations Committee for their support of the Regent universities, as they approved today a 4% funding increase for each of Iowa's public universities. In addition, the approval of $2.6 million in special funding to UNI's base, coupled with the $4 million previously appropriated (and not yet drawn down), will allow UNI to freeze tuition.
