Each individual will have 3 - 5 minutes to speak, depending on the number of speakers in attendance. The time period for the hearing can be extended beyond one hour, as determined by the host Transparency Officer, to accommodate as many speakers as possible.
Each public hearing will be video recorded and posted on the Board of Regents website, www.iowaregents.edu. The comments received at each public hearing will be reviewed to determine if any issues or presenters should be placed on a future Board meeting agenda.
Individuals who cannot attend a public hearing but wish to comment on the current meeting agenda, or other topics, can provide written comments to the Board of Regents Transparency Officer, Josh Lehman, on the Board’s website at the following link –
www.iowaregents.edu/plans-and-policies/transparency.
The public hearings are subject to cancellation if campus buildings or the Board Office close due to inclement weather. If this occurs, every effort will be made to reschedule the hearings in a timely manner. Please remember that written public comments can be provided at any time at the link noted in the previous paragraph.
Attendees at the hearings who require ADA accommodation, including a sign language interpreter, should contact the appropriate Transparency Officer listed above at least two days prior to the scheduled hearing.
