Zack Leist, a student at Iowa State University, was appointed to the Board of Regents, State of Iowa by Governor Kim Reynolds on June 3, 2019.
Leist is majoring in agricultural business, international agriculture and economics, with a minor in agronomy. He is involved in a wide-variety of activities at Iowa State, including Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity, the Agricultural Business Club, the Iowa Corn Growers Club, the Collegiate Cattlemen’s Club and CALS Ambassadors. He has also made several study abroad trips. Leist currently works as an intern at Syngenta.
He originally hails from Clarion, Iowa, and was the 2017 Valedictorian at CGD High School. He is filling the unexpired term of Rachael Johnson, who resigned in March, 2019. Leist’s term on the Board expires on April 30, 2021.
