Milt Dakovich of Waterloo is president of Aspro, Inc., an asphalt paving company based in Waterloo. With his professional and educational experience, he brings to the Board of Regents a strong background in construction. After growing up in Des Moines, he earned his B.S. from Iowa State University in both civil engineering and construction engineering and he has spent his career working in the construction industry. He is a past president of both the Associated General Contractors of Iowa and the Asphalt Paving Association of Iowa, and he is a Life Director of the Associated General Contractors of America.
He is chairman of the Board of Directors of Lincoln Savings Bank of Reinbeck and a member of the Rotary Club of Waterloo.
Milt and his wife, Kim, have five children, all of whom attended or are attending one of Iowa's public universities.
Regent Dakovich was appointed to the Board of Regents on June 3, 2013 by Governor Branstad. He was reappointed to the Board on March 1, 2019 by Governor Reynolds. His term expires April 30, 2025.
