On behalf the Board of Regents, State of Iowa, I would like to thank Governor Branstad for his continued strong support of public higher education.

The Iowa Board of Regents has selected two consulting firms to assist with implementation of a series of cost saving measures at the three public universities beginning next month. TIER or the Transparent Inclusive Efficiency Review identified 12 administrative business cases for potential savings in Human Resources, Finance, IT, and Facilities. 

At its meeting today, the Board of Regents voted unanimously to freeze tuition rates for 2015-2016 for resident undergraduate students. With this vote, the Board will implement a tuition freeze for undergraduate resident students for a third consecutive year. 

The Board of Regents announces the creation of the Northwest Iowa Educational Services Partnership between Western Iowa Tech Community College in Sioux City, Northwest Iowa Community College in Sheldon, and Iowa’s public universities. The purpose of the partnership is to expand the opportunities available to students in northwest Iowa to complete a four-year college degree.

The Iowa Board of Regents today voted to implement the eight remaining administrative business cases presented by Deloitte, the consulting firm hired to improve efficiency on the three university campuses.
