Board of Regents, State of Iowa: Updated Meeting Notice

The Board of Regents, State of Iowa, will meet on Tuesday, January 20, at 10:00 a.m. in the Main Lounge of the Iowa Memorial Union at the University of Iowa, Iowa City, Iowa. The purpose of the meeting is to 1) conduct an evaluation of President Mason in closed session, per her request, in compliance with Iowa Code section 21.5(i); and 2) authorize the Executive Director to develop a process and timetable for the presidential search at the University of Iowa.

Live audio streaming of the meeting will be available at the Board’s web site, www.regents.iowa.gov.

A press availability will be held immediately following the conclusion of the Board meeting. It will also be accessible by telephone.

The Board of Regents is a group of nine citizen volunteers who govern the state’s three public universities and two special K-12 schools – the Iowa School for the Deaf and the Iowa Braille and Sight Saving School – through policymaking, coordination, and oversight.
