IMSE @ ISU Building
The Board granted Iowa State permission to proceed with project planning for the Industrial and Manufacturing Systems Engineering Building project, a $40 million project funded entirely by private giving. The project would build a new 52,000 square foot facility North of the Thielen Student Health Center near Howe Hall. The building would meet the department's space requirements and free significant space in Black Engineering building, alleviating the critical space needs of ISU's Mechanical Engineering department in the process.

University of Iowa Health Plan
The Board approved the University of Iowa’s request to offer a new health plan option in addition to UIChoice. The new plan, featuring lower premiums and more flexibility, will be offered beginning January 1, 2020. (UIowa Health Benefits Review)

UNI Nielsen Field House Upgrades
UNI was approved to revise the project description and budget for its Nielsen Field House upgrades. The revised budget, previously $1.95 million, was increased to just over $2.7 million to allow the university to add the Department of Military Services (Army ROTC) to the project. The ROTC upgrade will allow for additional classrooms and further space for fitness and training areas.
