Milt Dakovich of Waterloo is president of Aspro, Inc., an asphalt paving company based in Waterloo. With his professional and educational experience, he brings to the Board of Regents a strong background in construction. After growing up in Des Moines, he earned his B.S. from Iowa State University in both civil engineering and construction engineering and he has spent his career working in the construction industry. He is a past president of both the Associated General Contractors of Iowa and the Asphalt Paving Association of Iowa, and he is a Life Director of the Associated General Contractors of America.
He currently serves on the Advisory Boards of the Civil and Construction Engineering Technology program at Hawkeye Community College in Waterloo, and the Civil Engineering Technology program at Des Moines Area Community College. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Lincoln Savings Bank of Reinbeck and a member of the Rotary Club of Waterloo.
Milt and his wife, Kim, have five children, two of whom have attended the University of Northern Iowa and one who has attended the University of Iowa.
Regent Dakovich’s term on the Board expires April 30, 2019.
