How are students and citizens informed of tuition rates at the Regent universities?

Iowa Code requires the Board of Regents, when increasing tuition or fees, to take action in an open meeting no sooner than 30 days after notifying the presiding officers of each student government organization at each affected institution. The Board discusses and acts upon tuition and fees in scheduled, open meetings and invites students to provide input on the tuition recommendations.
